This is a folk party, a typical Brazilian cultural event to celebrate the harvest in Brazil. It happens during the month of June everywhere in Brazil, and anywhere else Brazilians can gather for the occasion, including here in Calgary along with Canadians Friends of Brazil!

Our cultural program includes Brazilian Live music with a local group & one from Vancouver playing “Forró” music for dancing, and also a dance called “QUADRILHA” with some similarities to the square dance of Western North America.
