TUITION:
School Year: $320 for BCA members
Per term for all ages: $140 for BCA members or $160 for Non-members
Tuition for kids of same family may arrange for payments in instalments or other, please inquire about it, if applicable.

TEACHERS & INSTRUCTORS: Our Portuguese teacher is a qualified instructor, and we also have a qualified volunteer to help during classes; some cultural component is included with selected qualified instructors.OVERVIEW: The language instruction involves listening, speaking, and reading, and writing depending on the child’s readiness. Lessons are phonics and didactic resources are used. At the classroom we have a time for story telling, and at this time the kids may want to eat a snack. After this activity we offer a cultural activity, as for instance: capoeira, music and arts.

There are two books adopted in the classroom to help with the teaching and learning:
  1. ‘Kit Papagaio” = ages 4 to 6
  2. Brasileirino: Português para crianças e pré-adolescentes =  aged 7+
The books are available for purchasing at $25 each, please let us know if you are interested to buy the book or use the ones we provide during the classes. If you buy the book, and want to return it at the end of the school year, if it is in good condition to be used by another student, we can consider a refund of your payment.

NEW Program for teenagers / ‘adolescentes’ based on Brazilian Themes / ‘programa temático sobre o Brasil’

The dates, times, location and tuition are the same as presented here. Some input from parents and kids will be considered focusing on Brazilian issues including history, as well as geography and social studies.
If you are interested to take part in this new program please let us know for a separate follow-up.
